Photo 1 Torre Abbey This is Torre
Abbey - just a few minutes walk from Abingdon House,
dates back to the days of Richard The Lionheart.
The alongside it is one of Britain's most complete
early medieval barns and is so called because in
1588 it was used to house 400 Spanish prisoners
from the Spanish Armada. It is closed until 2008
for restoration work to be carried out but, you
can still view it externally and explore the grounds.
Photo 2 Abingdon House This is Abingdon
House - the home of Robert and Betty MacDonald.
They hope it will feel just like a 'home from home'
for you too, if you come to stay.
Photo 3 Torquay Harbour This is Torquay
Harbour. For any keen "boat spotters"
this is the place to come and pick out the sort
of boat you will buy if you win the lottery.
Photo 4 Torquay Sunrise This is the
view of Torquay at sunrise. However, to see this
you may need to miss out on a hearty breakfast at
Abingdon House !
Photo 5 Jess and Sam
(with Jake and Poppy) Dogs having lots of fun on our nearest beach.
Photo 6 The Beach This is Torre
Abbey Sands right in the heart of Torquay. Throughout
the summer, dogs are banned. However, don't worry
dogs as there are other beaches such as Maidencombe
Beach where dogs are allowed all year.
